Team Announces Rebuilding Year for 11th Consecutive Year
“We like where we’re headed,” says general manager of where they have been since 2016.

Citing a need to “get younger and develop the core,” team officials announced Wednesday that the upcoming season will be a rebuilding year, marking the franchise’s 11th consecutive rebuilding year.
“This is an exciting time for our fans,” said the general manager, standing in front of the same banner used at the previous ten announcements. “We have a clear plan, and the plan is to have a clear plan.”
Sources said the team’s original rebuild has now gone on long enough that several of its young core players have retired.
